SolidWorks (2016) messes with the eagle settings [message #168304] Mon, 16 January 2017 14:41

Where upgrading my SolidWorks with circuit works today, to version 2016 x64 SP05.
Was a bit surprised that the installer asked me to close eagle due to resource conflicts.
Thats ok, since I wanted a coke and closed Eagle and went of to buy one.

When reopening Eagle i get the message that users\SYSTEM\eagle does not exist and also found that all the settings where gone.
I had to let eagle create the "users\SYSTEM\eagle" folder and then move the eaglerc.usr file from users\<username> to this SYSTEM folder
(not the SYSTEM\eagle folder)

Anyone seen anything like this?
I guess it has something to do with the replacement of the windows installation manager when installing Solid(not)works since it was this module that asked for eagle to be shut down.
