Downloaded eagle from the Debian repositories.  Where can I either download or purchase the Eagle license file for Debian Linux?
Note that I can run the software as "freeware", but functionality is limited.
Thanks in advance

You can buy direct from Cadsoft at
https://cadsoft.io/pricing/

See their FAQ
https://cadsoft.io/support/faq/
Search for "Installation code for the software"

or you could buy from "Eagle Central" who deal for North American sales.

http://www.eaglelicenses.com/

...and see their FAQ
http://www.eaglelicenses.com/faq/

Going forward you should use the EagleCentral web front end into the
forums as the element14 web portal into the newsgroup was badly
implemented and does not transfer everything whereas EagleCentral is
very good

I think the version of EAGLE in the Debian repositories is quite old. Last time I checked it was still v6. Although many people stuck with v6 and didn't upgrade to v7, you would probably be better to download the latest version from Cadsoft as you are buying a new license.

Best Regards,

Rachael

When you purchase the license you get the download link for the most
receint versions, including Linux.
