I am new to Eagle and need to export a png file to manipulate in Inkscape for silkscreen purposes. Is there a tutorial that I may view to teach me how? I draw a blank when trying to locate a file to export in window Export? How do I resolve this problem?

Hello Kevin,

I hope you're doing well. Make sure to have the silkscreen layer on and
then go File > Export > Image. You can specify the filetype there when
you click Browse.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
Jorge Garcia

Hi Kevin,

I just tested this out on one of my boards to make sure it works, and as Jorge said, File->Export-Image then select where to put the file and the file type and click OK. For me if I don't specify an alternative location it puts the file in the same filter as the .brd and .sch files.

Best Regards,

Rachael

I went into Eagle and highlighted all and still it does not generate a png file because i know where
all .sch files and .brd files are. I made doubly sure that silkscreen was highlighted.

Click on file/export/image, in the dialog box click on the BROWSE
button, at this point you can select file type and path.

My Eagle is not generateing a CAM file like a U-Tube video just stated. What is available online to generate CAM files and ulp files to import into Eagle for Board houses to produce a brd with silkscreen layer. So in the end there is no file for Eagle to find.
