Hi

Many times I have more then one project open at the time. It is real difficult to find the right " Control Panel" to close. A lot of the time i close the wrong one...

So please put the "filename" in the top of the "Control Panel". A simple but powerful change.

Hello Flemming,

I hope you're doing well. You should only have one control panel open at
the time. Now we support a proper clipboard which allows multiple
control panels however, it still not the best idea.

Thank you for your suggestion.

I am old school, therefore i have used total-commander all my life. I open my file from there.
Ex i open project 1 a schematic file, and project 2 another schematic file. Now there are 2x commander open. It is working nice, only thing is you easy get confused about witch commander there belong to a board or schematic file...

Therefore my suggestion.

I open two control panels quite often as well. I just make sure that
they open to different projects.

It would also be nice if Eagle wouldn't complain when closing a project
that has a read-only eagle.epf file. Quite often a r/o project is
opened for reference. When closing the project (or quitting Eagle), I
get one or two warnings. The first might be about overwriting the
project file with a newer version, and the second might state that it's
write protected. Of COURSE it is. I don't want to write to it anyway.
Just shut up and go away.

Is there any setting that would prevent Eagle from complaining when it
can't write to a project file?

Thanks,
- Chuck
