I lost a special package in a library by overwriting it. As I stil have
that package in an existing design, I like to retreive it and put it back in
the library. Using export I get the new package although the old one is
still in the design. How to get that package back?

You can try to run the ULP exp-project-lbr.ulp from the board which will
create a library with all parts used in that design. The package should
be in that new library.
