Just installed V7.1.2beta and noted the program icon changed to a new
"stylish" one.

I have roughly a hundred icons on my desktop and liked the red eagle
quite a lot as you can spot it very easily.

Can you at least provide the old icon in the exe file so I can change my
symbolic link back to the old one? I must be still in somewhere anyhow
because the main eagle window shows it in the title bar.

Best would be going back to the old icon of course, but most likely
someone spent thousands of Euros designing a ugly new logo and that's
not an option then ;-)

Yes, I know the world has more serious problems, but this should be a 5
minute fix.

+Use this link to search for the icon you wish to use.
( https://www.google.com/search?espv=2&biw=1304&bih=683&tbm=isch& amp;source=univ&sa=X&ei=rudeVKz9OYv5yQTp1oH4Cw&ved=0CB0QsAQ& ;q=eagle%20icon&tbs=ift:png#tbs=ift:jpg&tbm=isch&q=eagle+cad+ic on&facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=g8iSjwFpU_lC1M%253A%3BRIg332PqPe8sUM% 3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fdlnmh9ip6v2uc.cloudfront.net%252FHomepage%252Ficon_ca dsoft_eagle.jpg%3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.sparkfun.com%252Fnews%252F787%3B2 56%3B256)+

If you click the first icon, it should show several others too choose
from.
+Here is the website you use to Create the icon.

+And here is a video, to show you how.+

Hope this helps. It only took me 2 minutes to do. Its very simple.

Yeah sure, but why not just provide "the orginal" when it is available
anyhow...

there are others asking us why we still use the old logo in some cases...
Since we've changed to a new CadSoft EAGLE logo we should actually use this in all cases.
to have a uniform appearance. We have to change this in next beta.

well, even if they included the old one, you would haft to go through
the process of changing it manualy.
Only difference is you wouldn't need to download it.

But please provide the Icon in more resolutions (not only 48x48,
manually scaled) in the EXE. In 16x16 there is currently only pixel
slurry. You should also take a look at the appearence at lower
resolutions. The effect of the vomiting crescent moon as noted in
another post is realy there. Nice example of a

I still feel my solution addresses most of these concerns, and i would
also like to note that eaglecad is making the icons available to us in
+this link
( https://www.google.com/search?espv=2&biw=1304&bih=683&tbm=isch& amp;source=univ&sa=X&ei=rudeVKz9OYv5yQTp1oH4Cw&ved=0CB0QsAQ& ;q=eagle%20icon&tbs=ift:png#tbs=ift:jpg&tbm=isch&q=eagle+cad+ic on&imgdii=_)+
anyways.
I just hope that this link is the correct one, the previous one was
incorrect. (sorry)

Here is the website you use to Create the icon.
