Hello,

as reported before, when deleting a segment of a wire labeled at both ends,
the shorter wire still gets renamed to a automatic named net, e.g. N$1.

I propose keeping the netname for the resulting segment when both segments
are labeled.

so far net labels just have a meaning if nets are copied, so that's not a bug,
but a missing feature. I can't make promisses here about implementation but it
definitely makes sense to us.

I guess this is equivalent to ripup vs delete in the board space. Schematic
doesnt have a ripup function. I usually just rename the N$1 to the other
net. Eagle traditionally handled that well on board side, until a bug
sneaked into 7.0/7.1 ripping up one side completely.
I am not convinced keeping the net if labeled on both sides is a practical
idea. If Eagle got proper page connectors however, it would make sense if
page connected on both side of the split.
