Mouse Wheel Behaviour in Mac [message #142826] Tue, 29 November 2011 21:22 Go to next message

With 5.91.3 my middle mouse button now pans instead of zooming. My mouse wheel can actually be tilted left and right and those do the zooming. I'd much prefer the opposite. The mouse wheel zooms and the wheel tilt pans.

Cheers,

James.

For me pinching and panning works as expected on the macbook mouse pad, the same way it works in other mac applications.

Using external mouse, mouse wheel zooms. Holding down the mouse wheel (middle click) pans. The same behavior as it used to be.

I've tested using a Magic Trackpad and an external USB wheel mouse
in parallel on a Mac mini under both Mac OS X 10.7.2 and 10.6.8,
and zooming and panning worked fine with both devices.

Hi,

I had a similar problem on linux, but it was due to the X11
configuration of the mouse. The middle button emulation was turned on,
which was causing confusion, please take a look at my post on the other
thread, it may help users of other operating systems:
